PlayGround Company in the News Sep-14

Anne Darragh is performing in The New Electric Ballroom through Oct 5 at Shotgun Players.

Cindy Goldfield jumped Into The Woods for the last two weeks of the run at SF Playhouse, is currently directing the third year MFA students in their cabaret project and is prepping for directing The Boyfriend at 42nd Street Moon.

Stacy Ross is performing in SF Playhouse’s production of BAUER by Lauren Gunderson, running through Oct 12 at 59E59 Theaters in New York.

Steven Westdahl and the rest of the San Francisco Neo-Futurists continue Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind, their ongoing and ever-changing attempt to perform 30 plays in 60 minutes, every Fridays and Saturdays at 9pm. http://www.sfneofuturists.com/

Gabriel Grilli’s BrickaBrack will be performing DAFFODIL: A PLAY ON HAPPINESS at the SF Fringe through Sep 16, and in the East Bay at the Temescal Arts Center on Sep 19. www.BrickaBrack.org

Aaron Wilton will be in Shakespeare Napa Valley's production of As You Like It, which runs from Sep. 12-28. http://shakespearenapavalley.org/

Madeline Puccioni has been selected to be one of the playwrights for PCSF's 24 HOUR PLAYFEST! Come see her and 7 other PCSF writers invent a play in six hours, after which actors and director will rehearse and stage the piece from 6 am Saturday morning until 7pm Sat. night - and then perform it off book for the PCSF fundraiser at 8:00 pm!  Tickets are almost sold out. Madeline will also see her 10 minute play, DARK WINDOWS, open at the Pegasus Theatre in Rio Nido, as part of the TAPAS FESTIVAL 2014.   Show runs from Sept 19 to October 12.

Zoe Young and Jonathan Luskin have one acts coming out in September! Both writers have written 30-minute plays that will run in San Francisco at the Tides Theater one night a week for the first three weeks of September. They're part of a group of three short plays by three different playwrights called Longshotz. Each play is written around the theme "the things that separate us," and by some miracle they're not depressing! https://www.facebook.com/events/764144140295440/

Julia McNeal will be playing the role of Meg in the Magic Theatre's 2015 production of Lie of the Mind by Sam Shepard.  She can't wait to work with Loretta Greco and a truly kick-ass cast!

Rebecca Pingree recently played Viola in Shotgun's production of 12th Night (directed by fellow company member Jon Tracy).

Robert Sicular recently performed in Fetch Clay, Make Man at the Marin Theatre Company.
