2nd Annual Planet Earth Arts New Play Festival

“I am to the world like a drop of water...” - William Shakespeare. Last Thursday, PlayGround playwrights attended a special presentation prepared by Planet Earth Arts, in preparation for the topic announcement for the Monday Night PlayGround regular season opener and second annual Planet Earth Arts New Play Festival, taking place at 8pm, Monday, October 12 at Berkeley Repertory Theatre and being repeated in its entirety at 7:30pm, Wednesday, October 14 at Stanford’s Roble Hall. PlayGround playwrights have just four-and-a-half days to generate their original short scripts inspired by the presentation and topic (“The Water Plays”) and the top six works will be presented as script-in-hand staged readings on October 12 and October 14. Six plays by Los Angeles playwrights based on the same topic will be performed at West Hollywood’s Zephyr Theatre on October 19.
