Rachel Bublitz's full length play OF SERPENTS & SEA SPRAY will have a World Premiere production with the Custom Made Theatre Company, January 9-30. For tickets and more information:

Misner & Smith (Sam Misner and Megan Smith) will be playing a special concert on February 5th in Berkeley at one of the Bay Area's finest music venues, The Freight & Salvage (directly across the street from Berkeley Rep). They will be playing this show as a trio, adding acclaimed pedal steel and electric guitar player, Josh Yenne, who has played with the likes of Mazzy Star, Boz Skaggs and The Easy Leaves. If there's one venue to catch the band in it's the Freight & Salvage, so don't miss this show! They'll be playing all of the songs that were featured in last month's Monday Night PlayGround Musical Night!

Julia Brothers is covering for Marlo Thomas in Clever Little Lies Off Broadway and is happy but missing the Bay area something fierce. Ho Ho Ho to everyone!

Ken Sonkin is directing a USF student project of Welcome Home, Jenny Sutter and teaching stage combat at Sonoma State and fight direction for a spring production of Hamlet.

Jennifer Lynne Roberts has written for TERRA INCOGNITA - EPISODE TWO: BOTTLE HOLLOW, performing Thursday December 17th, 7pm at Octopus Literary Salon. Her plays, HORSE TRADER and GOLD IN THEM HILLS, are part of Pacific Play Company's TALL TALES OF THE UNNATURAL FRONTIER short play production, Dec. 4 - 18, 2015 at Annex Theatre, Seattle, WA.

Steven Westdahl and the rest of the San Francisco Neo-Futurists celebrate the end of the second year of their ongoing and ever-changing attempt to perform 30 plays in 60 minutes 50 weekends a year with THE BEST OF TOO MUCH LIGHT MAKES THE BABY GO BLIND 2015, one weekend only, Dec. 18th and 19th 9pm, at SAFEhouse for the Performing Arts.

Malachy Walsh’s short film Iowa, based on the 2001 Best of PlayGround short play, showed at the Chicago International Reel Shorts Festival in November.

Douglas Giorgis has been staying busy by working on several new play readings.

Lee Sankowich is directing Robin Bradford’s LOW HANGING FRUIT for 3Girls Theatre this July in San Francisco. He’s also further developing FOR HONOR, his play about the Warsaw Ghetto Resistance and Uprising.

Michael J. Asberry goes into rehearsals for DRIVING MISS DAISY with the Sacramento Theater Company. The show opens on January 9, 2016 and runs through February 14, 2016. Previews begin on January 6, 2016.

George Maguire is currently in Los Angeles filming a remake of NOSFERATU. 
Nancy Carlin is performing in Amy Freed’s THE MONSTER BUILDER at the Aurora Theater through Dec. 20.
